H.G. Sankarshan das Adhikari, USA: Wednesday 10 August 2011--Reviving the World Religion--and--How to Make an Important Decision?
A daily broadcast of the Ultimate Self Realization Course Wednesday 10 August 2011 The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Sri Krishna, and His eternal consort, Srimati Radharani are enjoying transcendental pastimes in the topmost planet of the spiritual world, Sri Goloka Vrindavan. They are beckoning us to rejoin them. (Click on photo to see a larger image.) Our Mission: To help everyone awaken their original Krishna consciousness, which is eternal, full of knowledge and full of bliss. Such a global awakening will, in one stroke, solve all the problems of the world society bringing in a new era of unprecedented peace and prosperity for all. May that day, which the world so desperately needs, come very soon. We request you to participate in this mission by reviving your dormant Krishna consciousness and assisting us in spreading this science all over the world. Dedicated with love to ISKCON Founder-Acharya: His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, our beloved spiritual master, and to you, our dear readers. Special Announcement: Connect With Other Members of this Course. Join this Conference: http://groups.google.com/group/sda_students Today's Thought: Reviving the World Religion Uploaded from Bhaktivedanta Ashram, Austin, Texas USA Formerly this entire planet was united in one global, peaceful, loving family. The head of government was at Hastinapur, near what is now New Delhi. There was only one global culture whose religion was service to the Supreme Lord. Now, since the advent of Kali Yuga 5,000 years ago, that one-world, spiritually centered culture has disintegrated, and a highly fragmented multi-national, multi-cultural, and multi-religious world society based on greed and exploitation has emerged. There is no need for all of this divisiveness. If we can simply acknowledge that we all come from the same source, the same Supreme Person with unlimited names, and that we all share the same duty, to surrender fully unto Him in love and devotion, then the original world religion, which peacefully united all of humanity for millions of years, can be revived. Sankarshan Das Adhikari ISKCON Devotees Chanting Hare Krishna to Revive the World Religion (Sankarshan Das Playing the Harmonium) Gainesville, Florida--February 1974 http://www.backtohome.com/images/Personal/Gainesville_Harinam-Feb.1974.jpg Answers by Citing the Vedic Version: Question: How to Make an Important Decision? Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. May I ask you a question about decision taking? I have a situation in life when I should make a choice among four options. The situation is related with my job and place of living. My place of living as well as my working area, professional duties, tasks and responsibilities could be changed very seriously depending on choice I will make. How it is possible to make right choice and to take right decision? All of the options have their positive and negative sides, but I don't know which of them is better or best to realize my personal qualities, nature and varna. More over this choice will also affect my wife as well. We don't have children yet. Instruct me please, Maharaja. V. Answer: See What is Most Favorable for Your Krishna Consciousness Since become fully Krishna conscious is the ultimate purpose of human existence, all decisions should be based on the principle of seeing what is most favorable for your Krishna consciousness. "Let me offer glorification to the Supreme Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. One who has taken shelter of His lotus feet is the most glorified person."

Subhavilasa das ACBSP, Toronto, CA: Krishna is swinging Srimati Radharani and then Krishna joins Srimati Radharani on the swing...
It is late night and we were unable to draft the complete post today. So tomorrow will have additional nectar in brijbasi spirit. In the meantime, below there is two nice passages by Srila Prabhupada that will be intertwined in the full post...so wanted to share this nectar from His Divine Grace on this auspicious and ecstatic beginning of Jhulana Yatra....
"Regarding Jhulana-yatra Ceremony, during these five days the Deities'
clothings should be changed everyday, and there should be nice Prasadam
distribution and Sankirtana as far as possible. If you are able to do it, a
nice throne may be constructed on which the Deities can be placed. This
throne may be swung gently during Kirtana. That will be very good, and
surely the Deities will enjoy the function."
~ Letter to Jayapataka (Swami), Los Angeles, 1 August, 1969
Srila Prabhupada has given us a full resolution to "frustration and confusion" by fully absorbing ourselves in festivals such as Jhulana-yatra and so many festivals throughout the year...
We have got Janmastami, Sri Rama-navami, Dola-yatra, Jhulana-yatra. So there
are twelve months, but we have got twenty-four festivals as big as this
Ratha-yatra Festival. So if you kindly take to them, then as advised by Lord
Caitanya, kirtaniyah sada harih [Cc. adi 17.31], you will always be in Krsna
consciousness, and there will be no scope of your frustration and confusion.
~ Ratha-yatra lecture July 5, 1970 San Fransisco
Thank you Srila Prabhupada for being the torch light of knowledge for all these nectar filled festivals.
Radha-Govinda Jhulana Yatra ki Jaya!

TRANSLATION
After millions of years, at the time of cosmic annihilation, when everything, manifested and unmanifested, is annihilated by the force of time, the five gross elements enter into the subtle conception, and the manifested categories enter into the unmanifested substance. At that time, You alone remain, and You are known as Ananta Sesha-naga.
PURPORT
At the time of annihilation, the five gross elements -- earth, water, fire, air and ether -- enter into the mind, intelligence and false ego (ahankara), and the entire cosmic manifestation enters into the spiritual energy of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who alone remains as the origin of everything. The Lord is therefore known as Sesha-naga, as Adi-purusha and by many other names.
Devaki therefore prayed, "After many millions of years, when Lord Brahma comes to the end of his life, the annihilation of the cosmic manifestation takes place. At that time the five elements -- namely earth, water, fire, air and ether -- enter into the mahat-tattva. The mahat-tattva again enters, by the force of time, into the nonmanifested total material energy, the total material energy enters into the energetic pradhana, and the pradhana enters into You. Therefore after the annihilation of the whole cosmic manifestation, You alone remain with Your transcendental name, form, quality and paraphernalia.
"My Lord, I offer my respectful obeisances unto You because You are the director of the unmanifested total energy, and the ultimate reservoir of the material nature. My Lord, the whole cosmic manifestation is under the influence of time, beginning from the moment up to the duration of the year. All act under Your direction. You are the original director of everything and the reservoir of all potent energies."

Australian News: My introduction to kirtan – Sri Prahlada
In the beginning of creation, the Lord of all creatures sent forth generations of people and devas [demigods], along with sacrifices, and blessed them by saying, "Be thou happy by this yajna [sacrifice] because its performance will bestow upon you all desirable things. The devas, being pleased by sacrifices, will also please you; thus nourishing one another, there will reign general prosperity for all".
Bhagavad-gita 3, 10-11
My introduction to kirtan
When I was five my dad got into kirtan, an ancient form of meditation based upon sacred music. My dad was a child of the 1960s, which were a critical time in modern history when people, particularly the disillusioned youth, began questioning the status quo. Many also began to recognise that India's ancient yogi might hold the answers to the hollowness and superficiality that seemed to characterise most people's lives in modern society. My dad was one such questioning youth who became intrigued by the yogis and the practice of kirtan. When I was born dad was on this spiritual journey and as I grew, he endeavoured to imbibe within me all that he learnt. One night before bed my dad told me the following account of the Earth's spiritual history, as described in India's yoga texts:

Kirtan Byron was developed to serve the Northern Rivers community as a place where people can find out about kirtan events in the area.
Ekendra Dasa, local organizer for Kirtan Australia and self-admitted "kirtan junkie", was inspired to take some initiative after attending and hosting several kirtan events. Ekendra kept running into too many people who were upset about not being informed about programs despite that, at least for the events he organized, he'd run posters all over Byron and Mullum.
Kirtan Byron is non-sectarian. We appreciate the art of kirtan as practiced by all spiritual cultures of the world.
We also work with Kirtan Australia to hold kirtan events in the area. Previous gatherings have featured guests such as Vaiyasaki Das, Gaura Vani and As Kindred Spirits, The Mayapuris, Madhava Das and Amala Kirtan.

Bharatavarsa.net: Bhakti Vikasa Swami: Easy way to become a pure devotee
Therefore every one of you should become pure devotee, first-class devotee. First-class devotee is that... In this age it has been made very easy. Simply keep yourself cleansed, not to indulge in the four principles, prohibition, and chant Hare Krsna. Then you will be all first-class devotees. And wherever you will go, you will be able to purify there. Wherever you go. Wherever you speak, wherever you'll sit. So keep this spiritual strength intact.

45
San Franciso, California
With a town named after such a saint, the place can't be all that bad. At Golden Gate Park on John F. Kennedy Drive, the chariots rolled on their 45th anniversary. Following the joyful parade was the Festival of India layout of tents, trinkets, and food. Gurudas, a participant of the very first event was the master of ceremonies on the stage located at what was known as 'Hippie Hill'. Srila Prabhupada, his guru, had sat at this very spot singing with the free spirited boys and girls of the time. Over the mic, Gurudas made a point of it, "He sat right there!".
The historical landmark is actually tucked away from most park browsers. Of all in attendance I would give a guestimation, that the crowd is 95% us, meaning, members of the Krishna community.
It was an honour to meet a spiritual sister, the student of Prabhupada, who was walking along side her two great grandkids. Believe it or not, we are looking at 4 generations of Hare Krishnas. It was an honour for me to stroll with the two youngsters hand in hand, for a few yards.
It was another sweater day, damp and chilled. I felt for our male actors, some of whom portrayed bare chested palanquin carriers for His Magesty, King Rahugana, a character in our Three Lives of Bharat Drama. The actors have come to know with some experience now, that putting on a show involves some tapasya, austerity. Austerity has been said to be the wealth of the brahmin, and so it's not all that bad to taste what visionaries are supposed to experience in order to be strong.
Strength of body, mind and character are good targets to hit for all persons and at all times.

Have a Chance
Berkley, California
You have to put your socks on here, your tootsies just might get a little cold. That's rather standard for the Bay Area in the summer. Our bus crew bundled up in hoodies, scarves and chaddars, and then worked on assembling the chariots for the next day's Ratha Yatra. That's one way to warm up – work hard.
There are few places that can boast their 45th annual. That figure actually puts the San Francisco Festival of Chariots as the first in the western world. With humble circumstances the program got off the ground in 1967 with flowers, a pick up truck, Jagannath dieties, and a group of happy bound hippies in the summer of love.
In fact, those of us who lived through that time know it to be very special. It was an epoch of openness, of welcoming new thoughts and bursting out of the box. Had it been a conservative space, Hare Krishna might not have got off the ground. When Swamiji (Srila Prabhupada) as he was affectionately called, arrived in liberal New York in '65, and then to mind expanding San Fransciso. The timing could not have been better.
I was thoroughly tempted to get out and about, and feel whatever residual effect might be there in a part of the world that impacted the globe, that mystical north California flower power place. After Laghu Hari and Godruma Goura, performed an excellent Nandulal drama, I ventured off to Telegraph Avenue in Berkely, of the Bay Area. I took to both directions, feeling some ghosts of the past and some optimism as well. If I could share my judgement as much as it allows, I would say the drug culture has hit hard and taken its toll on those who are addicted. But fortunately, some of these folks come to visit our temple, working on their rehab through chanting. They might have a chance.

How to party
Encinata, California
Along the beach walk of San Diego, you catch a great but pleasant breeze. "No Smoking, No Alcohol, No Glass Bottles!" is the repetitious marking along its waist-high wall. If San Diego wasn't such a party town, you probably wouldn't read about such prohibitions.
"Who really knows how to party?" I was thinking. And especially without destroying yourself, and without being a nuisance!
After a great walk along Pacific Beach, a sadhana program at the temple, some correspondence over buses headed to Encinata for an evening performance, traffic was thick on Highway 5--normal for Friday. After all, it's the weekend. Some people will slot time for partying for sure.
As usual, our party or "get together" take on a different shape from most of the world. Free of nasties like intoxicants, our life of party involves kirtan chanting. This is a unique teenage group. We do make a mess but clean up after. Free from gossip? I don't know whether our group is liberated from that. What I do know is that we are looking at a great bunch of young people. I'm traveling with them because I believe it to be a good investment of time in helping them for their devotional future. I also hold a firm belief that I get some punya (pious credits) out of this.
Our audience was passive while actors and dancers strutted their passion. "Pacific people are like that." said Mitrasena, a spiritual brother also traveling with us. Nevertheless they showed their appreciation.
As aforementioned, we clean-up after our group of forty plus. We arrive at a place; trash it; and then tidy it up. During that process, I found a broom and dust pan. I began cleaning when one of the young women from our tour group remarked, "Maharaj, you are a real bus swami. You know, you just fit in so well."
I was touched by the remark. I felt accepted by these young Vaishnavas.

You Have a Body, Wait
Mexico/US Border
The border was our venue – not all day but long enough to make it memorable.
I heard one of the older boys on the bus that the Mexico/US border is the busiest in the world, I don't doubt it. You know what that means, you can imagine. Long lines, snail pace.
Borders have everyting to do with bodily designations. You are either this citizen or that citizen. Because we are born on a particular parcel of land, we get tagged and belong to that plot. In other words, we become territorial. And since our bodies are an extension of ego, we regard our turf as sacred.
Check out Chapter 16 of the Bhagavad Gita, and 'everything revolves around me'. This is the extent of it. In fact, there is no extent, everything, yes, everything revolves around me. Instead of the Designer being the axis of everything, we have configurated this concept that I am HOT ENERGY, the hottest.
We have mentioned before that ego stands for 'edging God out', well it's true. I own nothing, not even my country, and yet, I make false claims like a Rakshasha (monster). And now that the stock market plunge is going on, it becomes so evident. 'One day, I have millions, the next day, nothing'. It is pathetic that we have to contend with ego, just as we have to do with borders. Our two buses were in queue and in processing for 3.5 hours. Our show got cancelled at Laguna Beach. Shame.
I recall our guru, Srila Prabhupada, having a tough time (not that it was so troublesome to him) but at one Canadian airport, customs could have handled it better. Anyways, the problem all begins with bodily identity. We need to rethink who we are.

I sincerely pray to Krishna that the these souls go back home back to Godhead. Dying can be a painful process and care is necessary so these souls leave their bodies in a comfortable way. My respects to all the doctors, nurses and volunteers who are doing a grave job of taking care of dying patients. Only faith in Krishna can give us strength and support during those difficult moments. I pray to Krishna to give me the strength when my time comes or when I see my friends and relatives pass away!

Australian News: The disappearance of Srila Rupa Goswami Wednesday (Sydney)
SRILA RUPA GOSVAMI
Srila Rupa Gosvami was extremely dear to Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Through
him and his elder brother, Sri Sanatan, Mahaprabhu disseminated His own
teachings, the essential conclusions of all the scriptures. Amongst the
devotees of Mahaprabhu these two were known as His generals.
In the Gaura -ganoddesa – dipika, Kavi Karnapura has written that Sri Rupa Gosvami was
known as Sri Rupa Manjari during Krsna lila. There is an anecdote as to how
they came to be the ministers of the king of Gaudadesa, Hussain Shah Badsa.
Even at a very young age they had become quite learned in all of the
scriptures.
The guru (moulabi) of Hussain Shah was supposedly capable of
seeing into the future. Hussain Shah inquired him about the prosperity of
his kingdom. The moulabi replied, “There are two extremely learned brahmana
boys who are endowed with all good qualities. If you appoint them as your
ministers then you will attain a very opulent kingdom.”
Having heard of the glories of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, Sri Rupa had written a letter to Him
praying for His darshan. In His reply Mahaprabhu explained to him, “As a
woman who is attached to another man makes a show of being devoted to her
husband, so you should, while being internally attached to the lotus feet
of Sri Krsna, externally make a show of being engaged in your worldly
duties. Krsna will bestow His mercy on you very soon.”
While residing at Ramakeli, Sri Rupa and Sri Sanatana were visited by many brahmanas and
panditas from Navadwipa, Karnataka and various other parts of India. They
were always careful to receive these guests and serve them in a befitting
manner.
They lived in a very opulent surroundings at Ramakeli. Their court,
which rivalled that of Lord Indra, was always attended by brahmanas,
pandits from many lands as well as poets, singers, musicians and dancers.
At great expense they maintained these guests and were always very careful
that no one was disrespected in any way.
They were always engaged in studying the sastras and could establish and defeat the same philosophical arguments alternatively. Near their house were solitary gardens of Kadamba
and other trees in the middle of which were Radha-kunda and Syama-kunda.
There they would meditate on the Vrndavana pastimes of Sri Sri Radha-Syama
and thus, losing their patience, a constant stream of tears would flow from
their eyes. They were always absorbed in the service of Sri Madana Mohana
and constantly assuaged their grief by praying for His mercy. Hearing of
the pastimes of Sri Gaurasundara at Nadia they were always meditating when
they might get His darsan. [B.R. 1/585].
Rupa Gosvami’s worshipable Deity in Vrndavana was Sri Govinda Deva.
Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu had instructed the Gosvamis to re-discover the holy
places of Krsna’s pastimes in Braja and to establish worship of His Sri
vigraha. One day Sri Rupa was sitting on the banks of the Jamuna, lamenting
that they hadn’t been able to properly carry out His instructions. It was
known to them that Sri Krsna’s grandson Vajranabha had installed a number
of Deities in Braja, among them Hari Deva, Madana Mohana Deva, Gopinath
Deva and Sri Govinda Deva. Sri Rupa had tried to locate these Deities, but
to no avail. As he was sitting and thinking in this way a very beautiful
cowherd boy came along and asked him, “He Swamin! Why do you look so sad?”
Hearing the boy’s cheerful voice, Sri Rupa’s melancholy reverie was broken
and his heart felt engladdened. He replied that he was feeling sad because
he hadn’t been able to follow Mahaprabhu’s instructions properly. The
cowherd boy told him, “Swamin! Please come with me. I know where what you
are looking for is.” Then the boy brought him to Gomatila and
explained, “Everyday a cow comes on top of this hill and pours down her
milk here. There is a good chance you will find what you are looking for
inside.
Now I have to go.” Sri Rupa turned to see the cowherd boy off, but
found no one present. He began to reflect, “Who was that cowherd boy and
where did he run off so suddenly?” His body thrilled with ecstatic symptoms
as he intently gazed at the Mahayoga Pith (Gomatila), and then went back to
his kutir. The next morning he again came to Gomatila and quietly waited.
After a little while an exquisitely beautiful Surabhi cow came there and
poured milk down on top of the hill which immediately disappeared inside
the earth. Then she sauntered on into the woods.
Now Sri Rupa was positive that Sri Govinda Deva must be within the earth
here. He came very quickly to the village of cowherds nearby and excitedly
told them everything that had happened. The cowherd men hurriedly gathered
up some spades and hatchets and came running to Gomatila. Digging where Sri
Rupa indicated they saw, after removing a small amount of earth, the all
enchanting form of Sri Govinda. They all erupted in shouts of
ecstasy, “Hari! Hari! Sri Govinda has again manifested Himself.” Sri Rupa
with tears flowing from his eyes fell down at the lotus feet of Sri Govinda
deva to offer his obeisances, all the while reciting prayers and hymns.
Very quickly the news spread and the other Gosvamis, floating in an ocean
of joy, came there also. Soon an incessant flow of people from all quarters
began to arrive, carried by waves of joy. Lord Brahma and the other
demigods, having assumed mortal appearances, mixed in with the other people
and gazed upon the body of Sri Govinda. There was not a lull in the crowd
for even a moment as people continued to pour in from places unknown. Sri
Rupa Gosvami immediately sent word to Mahaprabhu in Puri concerning this
auspicious event. Sri Gaurasundara along with His associates couldn’t
contain their ecstasy on receiving this happy news. Meanwhile the brahmanas
performed the abhiseka of the Deity and began to prepare offerings of bhoga
from the milk, yogurt, rice, flour and vegetables which the villagers were
bringing. Mahaprabhu sent Kasisvar Pandit from Puri to assist in worshiping
the Deity.
Sri Govinda Deva is presently being worshiped in Jaipur, Rajasthan, which
is easily reached by bus from Vrindavana. One has to proceed by rickshaw to
Sri Sri Radha-Govinda Mandir from the bus stand. Overjoyed that Sri
Govindaji and Madan Mohan had re-appeared and thus the responsibilities
which Mahaprabhu had given them were gradually being carried out, Sri Rupa
and Sanatan began to compose the Bhakti-sastras, in compliance with
Mahaprabhu’s further instructions. After completing Vidagdha – madhava,
Lalita-madhava, and various other books, Sri Rupa began to work on Bhakti -
rasamrta – sindhu. One day Sri Vallabhacarya (of the Visnuswami sampradaya)
came to visit Rupa Gosvami. After offering him a seat the two of them began
to discuss Krsna-katha. In the house of their conversation, Sri Rupa
presented the opening verse of Bhakti-Rasamrta-Sindhu to Vallabhacarya to
read. After studying this verse for some time Vallabha commented that there
were a few mistakes. At this time Sri Jiva, who had arrived from Bengal a
few days before, was fanning his uncle Sri Rupa. He was extremely learned
in all the sastras and was unsatisfied with Vallabha’s remark. When
Vallabhacarya went to the Jamuna to take his bath, Sri Jiva also came there
on the pretext of fetching some water. He inquired from the acarya as to
what actually were the mistakes in that verse. Vallabhacarya, after
discussing some points with him, was amazed at the boy’s scholarship.
After a few days Vallabha again came to Sri Rupa. After inquiring about the boy
scholar, he greatly praised his learning. After Vallabha had gone to his
residence, Sri Rupa Dalled Jiva and spoke to him, “Those whom we respect as
our Guru and to whom we offer our obeisances you are ready to debate with
on an equal level. This is not at all polite. What he spoke was for my
benefit but you couldn’t tolerate that. You should return home and when you
can control your mind then you can come back to Vrindavana.” [B.R. 5.1643]
Hearing this decision of his uncle Sri Jiva left that place and decided to
proceed eastwards. When he came to an old dilapidated temple at Nanda-ghat,
he sat down and began to cry. Soon the villagers began to worry: “Such a
handsome young man, but he sits there crying for so long without taking
food.” After a while, Sri Sanatana Gosvami came by and the villagers
informed Sanatana of the boy’s presence at the old temple.
Sanatana went there and saw his nephew, who looked very pale from not
eating. Sanatana picked him up from the ground and affectionately asked him
what was the matter. Sri Jiva explained everything that had happened.
Sanatana Gosvami pacified him and, taking his nephew with him, went to see
his brother. At first Sanatana spoke with Rupa alone. When Sri Rupa
happened to mention Jiva, Sanatana explained everything. Sri Rupa
immediately called Jiva. Seeing his forlorn and pale appearance, he
gradually nursed him back to health and a happy state of mind.
Then he entrusted him with proof reading and various litratures which
he had composed. Just as he was very strict with his young nephew, so also
he was very affectionate and loving. Their relationship was an ideal
example of how the guru and sisya behave together. When Sri Rupa had
finished writing Lalita-madhava, he gave it to Raghunatha dasa Gosvami to
read. Lalita-madhava is a description of Krsna’s pastimes after he left
Vrindavana and is thus full with sentiments in the mood of separation. By
reading this book Dasa Gosvami began to cry day and night, having become
completely absorbed in love in separation to the point of being ready to
leave his body. [B.R.5.768] He became as though deranged in mind from
sadness, and he compeletely lost all patience. When Sri Rupa requested Sri
Dasa Goswami to return the manuscript so that he could correct it,
Raghunatha dasa held on to it very tightly, not saying anything, refusing
to part with it. After considering what to do, Sri Rupa composed Dana-keli-
kau?mudi. He managed to exhange this manuscript with Lalita-madhava.
By reading Dana-keli-kaumudi, full of narrations of Krsna’s Vrindavana
pastimes, Raghunatha dasa Goswami now became totally absorbed in the
ecstacy of happiness. On another occasion the Goswamis were having a
discussion about the ecstatic feelings of separation of Radha-Krsna and
Their associates. Some of the Vaisnavas were fainting to the ground, while
Sri Rupa Goswami began to breath very heavily. His heart felt as though it
was burning. At one point as he sighed his breath happened to fall on the
body of one devotee present there.
Shortly thereafter a boil developed on that devotee’s body where Sri
Rupa’s breath had touched it. [B.R. 5.1326] After the re-appearance of Sri
Govinda, Madana Mohana and the Yoga Pith, Sri Rupa began to contemplate
where Vrindadevi might be. One night she came to him in a dream and
said, “I am on the banks of Brahma-kunda. You can have my darsan there.”
The next morning, after finishing his bath and puja, he came to Brahma-
kunda and began to look everywhere. Suddenly he saw a heavenly damsel whose
bodily effulgence defeated the luster of gold. All the directions were
illuminated by this glow and the atmosphere created by her presence was
very sweet and cooling. Sri Rupa offered his dandavats and various prayers
and hymns. In this way, Vrindadevi reappeared in Vrajabhumi. Sri
Gaurasundara established the glories of Sri Vrajadhama through His two
generals Sri Rupa and Sri Sanatan Goswamis. Within their hearts He
awakened, through oral transmission, the knowledge of what was in His own
heart. “Sri Rupa Goswami has established in this world the mission to
fullfill the desire of Lord Caitanya. When will he give me the shelter at
his lotus feet?” [Srila Narottama dasa Thakura in his Sri Rupa Pranama].
Sri Rupa Goswami completed many literatures, among them: Sri Hamsaduta
Kavya, Sri Uddhava-sandesh, Sri Krsna-janma-tithi-vidhi, Brhat Radha-Krsna-
ganoddesa-dipika, Laghu Radha-Krsnaªganoddesa-dipika, Stavamala, Vidagha-
madhava, Lalita-madhava, Dana-keli-kaumudi, Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu, Ujjvala-
nilamani, Prayuktakhyata-manjari, Mathura-mahima, Padyavali, Nataka
candrika, Laghu-Bhagavatamrta, among others.

Akrura das, Gita Coaching: SHOULD A DEVOTEE BE ORGANIZED?
We have Bhaktivinoda Thakura's daily schedule. He was super organized. Every minute was organized.
It is a mode of goodness to be organized. If someone thinks he is transcendental and he does not have to be organized, it means some kind of ignorance is creeping in.

H.H. Devamrita Swami: Vyasa-Puja Offering to Srila Prabhupada
Dear Srila Prabhupada,
Please accept my humble obeisances at your lotus feet.
Your mercy penetrates to the lowest strata of Kali-yuga.
As a five-year old, standing before my church congregation, parents beaming proudly, I recited a Bible verse by rote: "For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Next came the church barbecue.
At eight years, I lamented I was not born on Earth during the time of a magnificent religious founder—Jesus, Moses, Mohammed, someone, anyone. Early teen confusion buried this sentiment.
Later, as a university student, brain-drained by the finest speculators academia could provide, I would bus from New Haven to New York City, to the East Village. Particularly I roamed the Second Avenue area at night, desperate to find something that could save my life.
Even I did the unthinkable, determined to resolve my mysterious Second Avenue fixation. Slipping away from my classmates during a daytrip to the East Village, I walked into the New York University admissions office, and asked to transfer there. Taken aback, the admissions officer pulled me up short: "You want to transfer from Yale! Young man, have you discussed with your parents? We'll certainly take you, but we can't match the money you're getting." That ended that, but not my strange obsession with the Second Avenue locale.
Your Divine Grace finally saw fit to salvage me, after the New York temple moved to Henry Street, in Brooklyn. Shocked I was, to learn of your Second Avenue beginnings, during the very time of my wanderings there.
Four decades have passed, and a greater amazement has gradually dawned: the Earth has been invaded by Vaikuntha denizens.
You are the emissary from the spiritual world that humanity and I have longed for.
About your predecessor, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura, you summarized," What can I say—he was a Vaikuntha man." His fine biography by your disciple Bhakti Vikash Swami drives this reality into our depths. Reading therein what your Guru Maharaja said about his predecessors, Srila Gaura Kisora das Babaji and Srila Bhaktivinode Thakura, the Vaikuntha conspiracy becomes even clearer.
Thank you for coming to this mad world, with your books.
For Krishna so cherishes His separated parts and parcels that He sent from His special entourage nitya-siddha devotees, that whosoever serves their mission should not degrade into the animal species, but attain eternal devotional service.
Trying to be a genuine disciple,
Devamrita Swami

Practically no one is interested in God, one’s relationship with God or how one should act. Modern men have altogether forgotten such questions because they are mad for material possessions. If this kind of civilization continues, the time will soon come when the Supreme Personality of Godhead will take away all the material opulences. Then people will come to their senses.
