H.G. Sankarshan das Adhikari, USA: Thursday 28 July 2011--Salvation from Economic Collapse--and--How Krishna is Not a Hindu God?

Our Mission: To help everyone awaken their original Krishna consciousness, which is eternal, full of knowledge and full of bliss. Such a global awakening will, in one stroke, solve all the problems of the world society bringing in a new era of unprecedented peace and prosperity for all. May that day, which the world so desperately needs, come very soon. We request you to participate in this mission by reviving your dormant Krishna consciousness and assisting us in spreading this science all over the world. Dedicated with love to ISKCON Founder-Acharya: His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, our beloved spiritual master, and to you, our dear readers. Special Announcement: The Entire Spring 2011 Around-the-World Lectures Are Now Available At: http://www.ultimateselfrealization.com/Lectures/andromeda.php?q=fandf=%2F2011 Today's Thought: Salvation from Economic Collapse Uploaded from Bhaktivedanta Ashram, Austin, Texas USA At the present moment the United States of America is tottering on the edge of economic collapse. That nation which has long led the world in power and wealth is now experiencing great difficulty. America's leaders are not able to solve the crisis because they are too much caught up in fulfilling their own greedy desires. What they do not know is that Lakshmi, the goddess of fortune, always remains where Lord Narayana or Krishna is being purely worshipped and does not permanently remain where her Lord Narayana is not being purely worshipped. If the leaders of the USA want their country to remain strong and influential in the world, they must now engage themselves and their country in the service of Lord Narayana or Krishna. Then wealth, power, and influence will remain with their nation and never go away. Sankarshan Das Adhikari Lakshmi Always Remains with Her Lord Narayana http://www.backtohome.com/images/Krishna/Lakshmi-Narayana.jpg Answers by Citing the Vedic Version: Question: How Krishna is Not a Hindu God? Gurudeva: Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. I have seen in India and noticed that people think that Krishna is a Hindu god. But Srila Prabhupada said that God is God just as gold is gold, that one cannot say, Hindu gold or Christian gold. How can we understand that Krishna is not a Hindu god? Chetan Answer: He is Not Hindunatha. He is Jagannatha. If Krishna was a Hindu god, He would be called Hindunatha (the lord of the Hindus), not Jagannatha (the lord of the universe), as He is properly designated. Krishna never states that He is simply the lord of the Hindus. He clearly states in the Bhagavad-gita that He is the Supreme Lord, the source of all material and spiritual worlds, that everything emanates from Him. Krishna's authoritative words should be sufficient to establish that He is the lord of all. The readers of this course mostly already know that Krishna is the Supreme Lord. Our challenge is how to reach out to and convince those who have not understood the final conclusion of the Vedic wisdom as explained so clearly in the Bhagavad-gita that Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Akrura das, Gita Coaching: BROADEN THE FIELD
To cut off all family affection means to broaden the field of activities. Without doing this, no one can be qualified as a brahmana, a king, a public leader or a devotee of the Lord.
The Personality of Godhead, as an ideal king, showed this by example. Sri Ramacandra cut off the tie of affection for His beloved wife to manifest the qualities of an ideal king.
Such personalities as a brahmana, a devotee, a king or a public leader must be very broadminded in discharging their respective duties.

Lecture on Srimad Bhagavatam, Canto 10, Chapter 3, Text 24, titled "God is a Person" given by Giriraj Swami.
Dallas, TX
2011-03-22TRANSLATION
Sri Devaki said: My dear Lord, there are different Vedas, some of which describe You as unperceivable through words and the mind. Yet You are the origin of the entire cosmic manifestation. You are Brahman, the greatest of everything, full of effulgence like the sun. You have no material cause, You are free from change and deviation, and You have no material desires. Thus the Vedas say that You are the substance. Therefore, my Lord, You are directly the origin of all Vedic statements, and by understanding You, one gradually understands everything. You are different from the light of Brahman and Paramatma, yet You are not different from them. Everything emanates from You. Indeed, You are the cause of all causes, Lord Vishnu, the light of all transcendental knowledge.
PURPORT
Vishnu is the origin of everything, and there is no difference between Lord Vishnu and Lord Krishna because both of Them are vishnu-tattva. From the Rig Veda we understand, om tad vishnoh paramam padam: the original substance is the all-pervading Lord Vishnu, who is also Paramatma and the effulgent Brahman. The living entities are also part and parcel of Vishnu, who has various energies (parasya saktir vividhaiva sruyate svabhaviki jnana-bala-kriya ca). Vishnu, or Krishna, is therefore everything. Lord Krishna says in the Bhagavad-gita (10.8), aham sarvasya prabhavo mattah sarvam pravartate: "I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me." Krishna, therefore, is the original cause of everything (sarva-karana-karanam [Bs. 5.1]). When Vishnu expands in His all-pervading aspect, we should understand Him to be the nirakara-nirvisesha-brahmajyoti.
Although everything emanates from Krishna, He is ultimately a person. Aham adir hi devanam: He is the origin of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesvara, and from them many other demigods are manifested. Krishna therefore says in Bhagavad-gita (14.27), brahmano hi pratishthaham; "Brahman rests upon Me." The Lord also says:
"Whatever a man may sacrifice to other gods, O son of Kunti, is really meant for Me alone, but it is offered without true understanding." (Bg. 9.23) There are many persons who worship different demigods, considering all of them to be separate gods, which in fact they are not. The fact is that every demigod, and every living entity, is part and parcel of Krishna (mamaivamso jiva-loke jiva-bhutah). The demigods are also in the category of living entities; they are not separate gods. But men whose knowledge is immature and contaminated by the modes of material nature worship various demigods, according to their intelligence. Therefore they are rebuked in Bhagavad-gita (kamais tais tair hrita-jnanah prapadyante 'nya-devatah [Bg. 7.20]). Because they are unintelligent and not very advanced and have not properly considered the truth, they take to the worship of various demigods or speculate according to various philosophies, such as the Mayavada philosophy.
Krishna, Vishnu, is the actual origin of everything. As stated in the Vedas, yasya bhasha sarvam idam vibhati. The Absolute Truth is described later in the Srimad-Bhagavatam (10.28.15) as satyam jnanam anantam yad brahma-jyotih sanatanam. The brahmajyoti is sanatana, eternal, yet it is dependent on Krishna (brahmano hi pratishthaham). The Brahma-samhita states that the Lord is all-pervading. Andantara-stha-paramanu-cayantara-stham: He is within this universe, and He is within the atom as Paramatma. Yasya prabha prabhavato jagad-anda-koti-kotishv asesha-vasudhadi-vibhu-ti-bhinnam: [Bs. 5.40] Brahman is also not independent of Him. Therefore whatever a philosopher may describe is ultimately Krishna, or Lord Vishnu (sarvam khalv idam brahma, param brahma param dhama pavitram paramam bhavan [Bg. 10.12]). According to different phases of understanding, Lord Vishnu is differently described, but in fact He is the origin of everything.
Because Devaki was an unalloyed devotee, she could understand that the same Lord Vishnu had appeared as her son. Therefore, after the prayers of Vasudeva, Devaki offered her prayers. She was very frightened because of her brother's atrocities. Devaki said, "My dear Lord, Your eternal forms, like Narayana, Lord Rama, Sesha, Varaha, Nrisimha, Vamana, Baladeva, and millions of similar incarnations emanating from Vishnu, are described in the Vedic literature as original. You are original because all Your forms as incarnations are outside of this material creation. Your form was existing before this cosmic manifestation was created. Your forms are eternal and all-pervading. They are self-effulgent, changeless and uncontaminated by the material qualities. Such eternal forms are ever-cognizant and full of bliss; they are situated in transcendental goodness and are always engaged in different pastimes. You are not limited to a particular form only; all such transcendental, eternal forms are self-sufficient. I can understand that You are the Supreme Lord Vishnu." We may conclude, therefore, that Lord Vishnu is everything, although He is also different from everything. This is the acintya-bhedabheda-tattva philosophy.

Nityananda Chandra Das, Dallas TX: TEXAS FAITH 44: What responsibility should Murdoch or any CEO take for their company?
Dallas Morning News,Each week we will post a question to a panel of about two dozen clergy, laity and theologians, all of whom are based in Texas or are from Texas. They will chime in with their responses to the question of the week. And you, readers, will be able to respond to their answers through the comment box.Should Rupert Murdoch resign?
That has been one of the top questions swirling around the breathtaking scandal unfolding in Murdoch's media empire in Great Britain. He has apologized for the phone hacking that some of his employees engaged in or knew about. But Murdoch made clear to Parliament last week that he was going nowhere.
That decision upset some critics, who thought he should step down. No doubt some want Murdoch to go because they don't like his journalism, including at Fox News. But others thought it was his responsibility to take the fall.
But is it?
Murdoch contends he didn't know everything everyone below him was doing, which seems plausible. In fact, how does the head of any major company, institution or government agency know what is happening several rungs down? We in the media are often quick to want heads to roll. But why should folks at the top take a fall, if they were not directly involved?
So, here's the discussion for this week:
What does your training as theologians, ethicists, clergy, academics and people of faith teach you about situations like this? Specifically, what responsibility should the leader of an organization take for his or her institution?NITYANANDA CHANDRA DAS, minister of ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness), Dallas
The Vedic tradition teaches that if your children are employed and married you should then immediately retire and live a simple life dedicated to increasing your loving attachment and consciousness of Krishna, God.Comments

why worship a false god who is a demon in servant hood to Satan, the arch enemy of the one true Living God who gave up His son Jesus, who died for the sins of the world, in order to reconcile mankind to God.
As there is only one Sun. It is not Mexican although known as Sol, or Indian although known as Surya. So similarly there is only one God. Some know Him as Jehovah, some as Jehovah, some as Krishna.

To consider the glories of the holy name of the Lord as imagination
To think that chanting creates a chemical reaction in the brain and simply produces some euphoric effect. Toronto Sankirtan Team, CA: All our senses must be employed in service of Krishna
So all together there are sixty-four items for discharging the regulative practice of devotional service. Out of these sixty-four items, five items—namely worshiping the Deity, hearing Srimad-Bhagavatam, associating among the devotees, sankirtana, and living in Mathura—are very important.
The sixty-four items of devotional service should include all of our activities of body, mind and speech. As stated in the beginning, the regulative principle of devotional service enjoins that all of our senses must be employed in the service of the Lord. Exactly how they can be thus employed is described in the above sixty-four items. Now, Srila Rupa Gosvami will give evidence from different scriptures supporting the authenticity of many of these points.

Bharatavarsa.net: Bhakti Vikasa Swami: increasing the spiritual content of our lives
Simply become more concerned with increasing the spiritual content of our lives, and in this way all other problems like management will be easily solved, not that they can be solved by making some legal formula and having big big meetings and talks. The politicians have been holding such meetings and talks for some time now and the world is no better place for it, and they have only made things worse. We should not follow their example. The world is in a very precarious condition simply for lack of God-consciousness, so this should be our point of stressing, that we should revive this emphasis on God-consciousness everywhere in the world and that will be our contribution. Bhakta Chris, New York, USA: Being A Monk In New York City
Gadadhara Pandit Dasa at the Huffington Post
Most people I encounter are quite fascinated by the idea of monks living in Manhattan. I suppose the fascination is quite natural. Most people engaged in monastic life are expected to live away from a busy city. A place that allows for focused meditation and reflection on spiritual life. Wouldn't a busy city like New York, which is seen by many as the height of materialism, seem quite counterproductive to the monastic life?
It all depends on one's purpose. If one is aspiring to focus only on one's own individual meditation and spiritual practice, then a busy city environment can definitely be counterproductive. However, if one is residing in a city for the purpose of helping people, then there's no better place.
Within the Bhakti tradition of Hinduism, the tradition that I have adopted, it is recommended that some monks live in the city because that's where people are most stressed and therefore need the most spiritual guidance. The city is a very intense place where everyone is constantly scrambling from one activity to another, always keeping themselves busy, often times leaving their spiritual pursuits by the wayside.
The Bhakti tradition teaches that making oneself available to assist others helps one develop greater levels of compassion, which is a very important tenet of Hinduism. This tenet applies to monks and laypersons.
The city can actually push one to greater levels of focus in one's meditation. There are so many distractions everywhere and to prevent oneself from getting sucked into the ubiquitous materialism, one really needs to take greater shelter of the meditation and other focusing practices.
For example, when you're driving at high speeds, you need to be more attentive, otherwise the chances of an accident are much greater. I like to compare the city to a high-speed highway which requires a greater level of focus.
Being a monk in New York City can definitely be challenging. I'm more comfortable in a city environment than some of our monks. I was born in Kanpur, which is an extremely busy, industrial city. Then, at the age of about five, we moved to New Delhi, which is also insanely busy. By age seven, I was living in Los Angeles.
When I first moved to New York, I found it to be an exciting place. Because of my conditioning, I like busy places. People, cars, trucks, and other city noises don't really bother me. I do like to get away once in a while, but for the most part, I'm fine with it.
The monastery, located in the Lower East Side, is right on First Avenue, and from the outside, it looks like just another New York brownstone, so one could walk right past it and not notice anything special. We're surrounded by bars, nightclubs, restaurants, tattoo shops, and a variety of eclectic establishments. It's probably one of the busiest areas in Manhattan on Friday and Saturday nights. The action actually starts on Thursday nights and goes until early Sunday morning till about 4:00 a.m.
I know the timings so well because I usually wake up at 4:00 a.m. and can hear the boisterous discussions taking place on the avenue after the bars have closed and flushed out their clients. Once, I even saw a couple of guys with their shirts off, in a total drunken stupor, having a fist fight right in the middle of the street. It's quite a scene out there with people yelling and bottles smashing against the sidewalk.
The natural question arises: What in the world are monks doing in a place like this?!
There's about 15 of us and we all wake up between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. Our morning meditation starts at 5:00 a.m. To refresh ourselves from the night's sleep, everyone is required to shower, put on a clean set of robes and then enter the temple room for the meditation and worship. According to the teachings in Hinduism, the mind has the easiest time focusing during the early morning hours. The mind responds to all the stimuli around us -- people, traffic, noises, and activity in general. There's not a whole lot of activity going on at 4:30am. Stilling the mind is close to impossible, but the morning hours do help when you're trying to focus the mind.
Our morning services move through a variety of moods and flavors. We start with the more grave mantra meditation and after an hour, we move into a very devotional practice of song and devotional dance. We sing different songs glorifying the previous teachers and God. The use of traditional Indian instruments such as cartals (cymbals) and a double-sided Bengali drum allow the sessions to become quite rhythmic and ecstatic. The beautiful melodies enable one to pour their heart into the prayers being sung while all the monks move back and forth and side to side and eventually dance in a circle. It's an incredibly powerful, devotional, and spiritual way to start the morning. It's easily more energizing than a double espresso and the experience stays with you the entire day.
The monks rotate lecturing from Hindu scripture elucidating the philosophy and explaining how it can be applied into our daily lives. During the lecture part of the morning program, some of the other monks are taking notes on the class, while others are cutting up vegetables for the day's cooking and some are stringing garlands of fresh flowers to be offered on the altar.
Whenever anyone hears about the morning service, a common question arises "how often do you guys do this?" and I tell them "everyday -- seven days a week." The look on most people's face is priceless when they hear my answer. It's anything but boring. There's quite a bit going on and the three hours, from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., flies by. Of course, if you haven't had a good night's rest, it can get kind of rough at times. After the morning program and before breakfast at 9:00 a.m., some monks will continue to do additional meditation, while others will do some yoga, and some may even take a quick nap.
The morning meditation and prayer service is our food for the soul. It gives us the much needed nourishment we need to handle the madness of the city and it gives us the spiritual strength we need for our various activities -- teaching, counseling, lecturing, cooking, cleaning, and going out to engage with the local population.
Being a monk in New York isn't easy by any means, however, if the principle of service to humanity is adhered to, it can be very satisfying and even blissful. Due to length constraints, I am only able to describe the first five hours of our day. In a future piece, I will go into further details of our monastic life, which will reveal more about the inner workings of the monastery and some of the challenges the monks face, individually and collectively.

Ananda Subramanian, Iowa, USA: don't get worked up about material life?
Don’t just have career or academic goals. Set goals to give you a balanced, successful life. I use the word balanced before successful. Balanced means ensuring your health, relationships, mental peace are all in good order. There is no point of getting a promotion on the day of your breakup. There is no fun in driving a car if your back hurts. Shopping is not enjoyable if your mind is full of tensions.
Life is one of those races in nursery school where you have to run with a marble in a spoon kept in your mouth. If the marble falls, there is no point coming first. Same is with life where health and relationships are the marble. Your striving is only worth it if there is harmony in your life. Else, you may achieve the success, but this spark, this feeling of being excited and alive, will start to die.
One thing about nurturing the spark - don't take (material) life seriously. (material) life is not meant to be taken seriously, as we are really temporary here. We are like a pre-paid card with limited validity. If we are lucky, we may last another 50 years. And 50 years is just 2,500 weekends. Do we really need to get so worked up?
It’s ok, bunk a few classes, scoring low in couple of papers, goof up a few interviews, take leave from work, enjoy with your friends, fall in love, little fights with your loved ones. We are people, not programmed devices.
Don’t be serious, be sincere

And the more the greed increases, the more the world civilization breaks down. We are seeing practical evidence of this every day. If we are going to ever have peace and prosperity for everyone on this planet, we must transcend the platform of greed and come to the enlightened platform of Krishna consciousness, where everything is seen as the property of God and everything is utilized fully in His service. Until then all attempts for solving the world's problems will prove to be utterly ineffective and a useless waste of time. What can the rascal self-serving politicians do? They only increase the problems. Sankarshan Das Adhikari Srila Prabhupada Trains Enlightened Leaders http://www.backtohome.com/images/Prabhupada/SP_Trains.jpg Answers by Citing the Vedic Version: Question: How Can I Start Chanting Again? I have recently stopped chanting my rounds because I no longer have an attraction for doing so. I am very unhappy about this, but I don't know how to solve it. How can I solve this problem? Bhakta B. from Peru Answer: Be Intelligent and Feed the Real Self Chanting is the nourishment for the soul, and food is the nourishment for the body. Even though you know that are not your body, every day you make sure to feed it. It is not that some days you do not eat. You know that your real identity is that you are a spirit-soul. So how can you feed the covering of the self while you simultaneously starve the real self within? Kindly properly use your intelligence and do the needful. H.H. Bhakticharu Swami: Initiation Lecture By His Holiness Bhakti Caru Swami, ISKCON Wiesbaden 22 July 2011.
Pictures kindly provided by Their Graces Madhavi and Hayagriva Prabhus Click here to see all pictures Transcription by Ramananda Raya Dasa The Following Initiation Lecture Was Given By His Holiness Bhakti Caru Swami In Hari Nama Desh, Wiesbaden, Germany, on Friday 22 July 2011. ————- Did everyone get a copy of Brahma-Samhita ? We generally start an auspicious ceremony with chanting Brahma Samhita. This Brahma Samhita is a description by Lord Brahma of the spiritual sky. Actually it is nice that text 25, 26, 27 and 28 are there. This Brahma Samhita is from the fifth chapter of Brahma Samhita. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu retrieved the Brahma Samhita during the South Indian tour. He handcopied Brahma Samhita and carried it with Him. That shows how important Brahma Samhita is. The first verse of the fifth chapter of Brahma Samhita is : “Ishvara Parama Krishna Sad Cit Ananda Vigraha Anadir Adir Govindah Sarva Karana Karanam”. So then, I will just go trough the next four verses, 25,26,27 and 28. It is describing that the Lord instructed Lord Brahma from within, asking him to perform austerity, tapah. And he said that by performing austerities he will achieve perfection, you will your achieve perfection. And then the Lord gave Him the gayatri-mantra and meditating on gayatri, the spiritual world was revealed in Brahma’s heart. And how did Brahma see the spiritual sky? That has been described from text 29 onwards. So we will chant the verses from text 29 onwards. Did everybody get a copy? Devotees chant Brahma Samhita together. Sri Sri Brahma Samhita Ki Jaya ! Srila Prabhupada Ki Jaya! Namo Om Vishnu Padaya Krishna Presthaya Bhutale Srimate Bhaktivedanta Swami Iti Namine Namas Te Sarasvate Deve Gaura Vani Pracarine Nirvisesha Sunyavadi Pascatya Desha Tarine Sri Krishna Chaitanya Prabhu Nityananda Sri Advaita Gadadhara Gaura Bhakta Vrinda Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare Kadacit Kalindi-tata-vipina-sangitaka-ravo Mudabhiri-nari-vadana-kamalasvada-madhupaha Rama-shambhu-brahmamara-pati-ganesharcita-pado Jagannathah Svami Nayana-patha-gami Bhavatu Me Jagannathah Svami Nayana-patha-gami Bhavatu Me Sri Sri Jagannatha, Baladeva, Subhadra Maharani Ki Jaya! Jaya Sri Sri Guru Parampara Ki Jaya ! Jaya Sri Sri Sat Gosvami Ki Jaya ! Gaura Premanandi ! Hari Hari Haribol! Hare Krishna So, today we are going to hold an initiation ceremony. So, initiation ceremony indicates or literally means the beginning of one’s spiritual life. The beginning of spiritual life actually involves getting the mantra. Mantras were normally kept as a secret. They are very powerful and therefore are not kept in common custody. At the time of initiaton, the guru used to give the mantra to the qualified candidate, accepting him as a disciple. But now Chaitanya Mahaprabhu made not only the mantra but the maha-mantra public. He made the maha-mantra available to anyone and everyone. What to speak of receiving the mantra at the time of intitiation, now in Iskcon to qualify for receiving initiation one has to chant the mantra sixteen rounds. That is because Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu made the Maha-mantra available to anyone and everyone. So, we can see that one does not need initiation to get the mantra now. Then the question is what is the need for initiation? Actually it has been mentioned in Chaitanya Charitamrita, that this Hare Krishna mantra does not depend on the formality or viddhi, the regulation of receiving mantra or purascarya, the process of purification. Rather by chanting the mantra one becomes purified. So much so that even a chandala, the lowest of mankind can become purified and delivered from material bondage. So, that is the power of the Hare Krishna mantra. Then why there is the conformality, in one hand it says that the Hare Krishna maha-mantra does not depend on diksha and purascarya, initiation and the process of purification. So yes, one[...]

Yoga of Ecology, Bhakta Chris, USA: More Weight On Less Meat
From Mark Bittman at the New York Times
Today the Environmental Working Group (EWG) released “Meat Eater’s Guide to Climate Change and Health,” a comprehensive report that suggests what’s become a common refrain here and elsewhere: we all need to eat fewer animal products – not just meat, but dairy as well. The guide tracks the lifecycle of the food we eat, from production and processing to consumption and waste disposal. It’s tricked out with enough features, graphics, and factoids to keep you busy – or equal parts hopeful and despondent – for a while.
For instance:
- Of 20 common proteins and vegetables analyzed, cheese has the third highest greenhouse gas emissions. Lamb and beef have the two highest, lentils have the lowest. (An aside: as it turns out, lentils and lamb are great together. The key is to use small amounts of flavorful, fatty lamb, just enough to infuse a big pot of lentils with tons of flavor as you cook them low and slow.)
- If everyone in the U.S. ate no meat or cheese just one day a week, over a year, the effect on emissions would be the equivalent of taking 7.6 million cars off the road. (Another aside: if for two days a week you don’t eat any meat or cheese until dinnertime, you’ll accomplish something similar.)
- A 2009 National Cancer Institute study of 500,000 Americans found that the people who ate the most red meat were 20 percent more likely to die of cancer and at least 27 percent more likely to die of heart disease than those who ate the least. (No aside needed.)
The EWG recommends that consumers buy right-size portions to reduce waste, avoid eating meat and cheese at least one day a week and choose “greener” options like grass-fed, organic and pasture-raised animal and dairy products that are produced in a more ethical manner and without antibiotics or hormones. (Clearly, equitable access is a big issue here.)
The guide’s addendum to the personal consumption platform is that even if everyone in the U.S. went “vegetarian” — that is, eliminated meat but continued to eat dairy at our current rate — it would make only a small (though significant) dent in overall emissions. The subsequent recommendation is that to significantly reduce emissions we all have to lobby our elected officials to adopt a comprehensive energy and climate policy that puts the U.S. on a path to green energy. Needless to say, that hasn’t happened.
Eating less meat and dairy doesn’t require any additional time or effort. Calling your congressman does. I’d say start with the first: with the energy you gain from eating a plant-based diet you might be ready to lobby ‘til the cows come home.
